Property Week – Homes for Students adds 1,000 beds with Bradford Uni contract

Homes for Students has added more than 1,000 new beds to its portfolio after being appointed as preferred accommodation operator for a new scheme in Bradford.

It will take over operation of 1,026-bed scheme The Green from the University of Bradford, which opted to bring in a specialist service provider to market the accommodation.

Homes for Students has agreed to improve the scheme’s amenities and create a new marketing suite. The BREEAM ‘Outstanding’ scheme comprises apartments in The Green Village plus a number of 12-bedroom town houses. Homes for Students was appointed by real estate adviser 90 North.

The operator’s managing director Martin Corbett said: “We are looking forward to working with 90 North and the university to make The Green the accommodation of choice for Bradford students.”
